The Benevolence Committee at Republic First Christian is honored and blessed to be able to help the congregation respond to physical needs of its members and the community-at-large. The Benevolence Committee also provides encouragement and support for congregation-wide efforts, including the bus pass program for local homeless shelters.
The Benevolence Committee is charged by the church as a financial arm to provide donations to charitable organizations. Funding is provided by the committee receiving ten percent of the weekly offering. Money is given for local area needs, such as People Helping People, Ozarks Food Harvest, The Salvation Army, Crosslines, The Kitchen, Rare Breed, Safe to Sleep and Convoy of Hope, just to name a few.
In support of the Disciples of Christ worldwide, The Disciples Mission Fund and the Disciples Mid-America Regions both receive regular donations from the committee.
