In 2009, The Bag Ladies was started by two lucky moms with three great kids.  Our hope has always been to bless as we have been blessed. The Bag Ladies exist to provide children in crisis situation a variety of comfort items in their own personalized bag. Something small, something special, something they can call their own.

Because every child is special, our goal is to provide unique, personalized bags to children in crisis, whether they are moving into foster care or a shelter.  These bags provide each child with a way to transport items with them while they are in transition.  The bags also give them something specially made that is uniquely theirs.  An age appropriate comfort item is included with each bag.  Comfort items include a blanket, stuffed toy, book or journal.

Our hope is that with each bag created and placed in the hands of a child, that child will feel comforted and will be reminded that people in their community care about them.

The work of The Bag Ladies is supported solely by the generosity of individuals, businesses and churches of the Ozarks who share the belief that "every child is special." We are located in the heart of the Missouri Ozarks and serve various agencies in this area.
